Segundo single del Achtung Baby. El vídeo musical de Mysterious Ways fue filmado por Stephane Sednaoui en Marruecos. En la portada del single aparece una foto de un Trabant. Durante las actuaciones en ZOO TV aparecía una bailarina de danza del vientre: primero fue Christina Petro y posteriormente Morleigh Steinberg (futura esposa de The Edge).
